About the Trip

Each semester, around 25 students travel to Verviers, Belgium, for a semester abroad. While based out of Belgium, students generally travel to 12 countries on average, with some reaching as many as 20. Each semester includes a two week trip to either the United Kingdom or Italy, one week in Paris, one week in Austria and Germany, and three weeks of free travel. One of the most formative experiences available to Freed-Hardeman students, this trip seeks to bridge cultures around the world through education and travel.

  • Travel with ease using a Eurail train pass.
  • Admire the architecture, sample the food and learn the history of each town and city you visit.
  • Transform your worldview by experiencing the peaks of the Bavarian and Swiss Alps, the lake country of Italy and the rich history of Europe’s oldest towns.
